The Premier - a Luncheonette, Cafeteria, and Delicatessen - at the corner of Washington and East Berkeley in Boston. I heard the El was going to be taken down, so I went by and took a few pictures of Dover Street Station. The photo is undated, but I believe this was taken in the late 70's or early 80's. Some day I may post this same picture under the category Ugly Cars I've Seen In My Lifetime! [Click To Enlarge]

Stop it - I love that old Cadillac! and diners like the one that is behind it. :) Sunday brunch in a place like that with the newspaper taking up half the table in the middle of February :) Life is grand.
Ugly big clunky things, yes. The luncheonette, though, is a sweet sight :). Just like a scene from a '70s movie. I can almost see Dustin Hoffman in a tweed jacket walking down the street.
(Still thinking of that footbridge photo... I could swear that bridge isn't there anymore. I'll let you know.)
I really like your old photos. BTW that's my big ole Caddy parked there.
Yeah, that caddy was a great car. Lousy on gas, but hey what the heck, gas only cost about $1.30 a gallon.
The Luncheonette looks great too.
Isadora: LOL, that Caddy is uggglyyy! Always has been. But, the atmosphere of the Deli - superb. Just kidding with you about the Caddy. It's okay if you like them.
Fenix: So that's who I saw in the Tweed! I wish I had a photo of the Premier taken by you with your camera - that would do it justice! Thank you for looking into the footbridge, I appreciate it.
Rich: Thank you. You've owned more cars than anyone evah! A Buick, a Pinto, and now a Caddy!
Clueless: Thank you. My brother-in-law actually owned one of those clunkers, and I got to drive it a couple of times (lucky me). It handled nicely, but sucked never the less.
Great theme. Yes Beantown, I agree I also find these cars are ugly and big. Those days (the seventies) were not the nicest era in terms of aestetic I think (cars, architecture, fashion...). In any case, not my favorite!
Dorothee: Thank you. I agree, the 70's were aesthetically challenged, lol.
