Evelyn's

Evelyn's New England Seafood is a small, but popular restaurant in St Cloud, Florida. I picked up a menu the other day expecting to find something with "Boston" in the title, you know, like Boston Scrod, or maybe a side of Boston Baked Beans, but there was no mention of Boston at all. How sad. They do offer plenty of New England favorites, though.

What a lovely storefront! It does look very New England.

(I think the baked beans I had at the Union Oyster House a few weeks ago were the last ones for me. I used to enjoy this dish, but now I find it too sweet. Funny how tastes change. Not even five years ago I wouldn't touch an avocado with a stick and now I add it to most salads!)

Very nice and downhome looking cafe. Might be good. MB

Hi there!
Ah!!! The famous Boston Baked Beans were one the first dishes I discovered when I moved here.
Talking about Molasses, take a look at my last post, it's about the great flood in 1919...
Have a great evening.

Reminded me of the shop fronts we see over in the Lake District.
Inviting AND expensive! LOL!

O that's it. Been surfing blogs for too long now - time to break and the thought of food and a can of baked beans - no I can't sit here any longer - I'm off to the kitchen!
