The Picketer

I ran into this woman several times picketing in front of The State House on Beacon Hill in Boston. She allowed me to take the photo, as she was engaged with some others talking about her plight. I never really understood what she was talking about, but I thought her appearance was stunning, and my hobby at the time was taking people pictures. She was totally color coordinated. I saw her on another occasion at Quincy Market. [Click To Enlarge]

I find the Quincy Market photo particularly attractive. The expression on people's faces, their demeanor, the girl wearing Bean boots :), the great refections and the old gentleman in the captain's hat.

Fenix: Eagle eye, lol! I think I may have at least one other picture of the man in the captain's hat - he must have been a fixture in the Quincy Market around that time. (I spent a lot of time there myself.)

This woman does have character for sure. There were several 'landmarks' like her in Washington and you are right, hard to know what their cause is.

Fenix :) I had to really look for the gent with the captain's hat - amazing.

Isadora: She knew how to attract people, that's for sure. And, yeah, Fenix sees everything!

She's Boston's version of San Francisco's Frank Chu. Frank has been picketing in SF for eons. And he's a little off his rocker. But, he's so beloved, people actually dress up as him for Halloween. I wish DC had a character or two like this.
